Mission Statement

At ISPS, we believe every child in Liberia deserves an outstanding education, no matter the hardships they’ve endured, including the devastating effects of war. Our mission is to equip students to thrive economically, academically, and socially. We are committed to nurturing students into productive citizens through relevant, challenging learning experiences in a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment.

This ambitious mission requires:

  • Parents, who sacrificially enroll their children.

  • Teachers, who tirelessly shape young minds.

  • Communities, as catalysts for change and growth.

Together, we will succeed.

Our School

ISPS began in 2009 with just four students. By 2013, we had grown to 380 students, reflecting our commitment to providing affordable, high-quality education.

Vision Statement

The vision of ISPS was born in 2008 to empower Liberia’s post-civil-war students to read, write, and prepare for higher education. Despite the challenges of war—scarcity of resources, underpaid teachers, and struggling schools—we envisioned students achieving their fullest potential with resilience and hope.

Today, we are proud to see our students reach for the highest education possible, each in their own unique way.

Objectives

  • 100% mastery of essential grade-level achievement standards.

  • 100% success in completing individual achievement goals.

  • 100% graduation with an Individual Graduation Plan.

  • 100% development of positive character traits and civic virtues through school programs and community service.

Our Values

Community of Learners: We foster an environment where every student can flourish through creative expression and individuality, backed by the highest quality education.

Commitment to Excellence: We affirm a robust instructional process—acquiring new information, processing it, and demonstrating mastery—to uphold our high standards.

Why ISPS?

We are more than a school. We are a beacon of hope for Liberia’s youth, transforming challenges into opportunities. Together with parents, teachers, and the community, we are shaping the future—one resilient student at a time.
